Where has the time gone?
I've been busy singing, and spitting--poetry, that is, as part of Oye--the Latino spoken workd group at Yale (I am in videos 3 and 6 in the previous link).

Also reading, writing, reading, writing, and reading. Almost done--one more week!
Went home for Thanksgiving--what a fun and crazy week! It went like this: I wrote a paper, caught a cold, took the GRE, conducted many interviews for my senior project, hosted Thanksgiving dinner at my house, found a kitten, and got the stomach flu--in that order!
Some highlights were:
El Nino (the blur on the left) and his new companion Tinta
The kitten I found the day after Thanksgiving, Paulie:
(a bit blurry, but you get the idea--she's really cute)
And the Thanksgiving meal itself:
This is only the very beginning of it--we had turkey, plus all the trimmings, including, but not limited to:
-Garlic mashed potatoes
-blue corn stuffing
-sweet potato puree
-curried parsnips
-Macaroni and cheese (Graham's grandma's recipe--minus one stick of butter)
-two salads
-squash chutney
-fresh bread
-crock-pot gravy
-homemade cranberry sauce
-pumpkin pies (one dairy-free, made with coconut milk)
-wheat-free apple strudel
-fresh whipped cream
-etc.
Needless to say, we were stuffed--and very happy.
